If any book, article, or other item is not a part of the New England Institute of Art Library’s collection, the item can be requested from other libraries through interlibrary loan (ILL).
Information on interlibrary loans, along with ILL request forms, can be found at the NEiA Library circulation desk. When filling out an ILL request form, it is important that the requesting patron provides as much information as possible about the item that he or she is requesting.
The patron is notified through email when the requested item has arrived to the NEiA Library and is available for pick-up. The patron must have his or her NEiA ID card in order to check out the item. Due dates for ILL items are according to the owning library’s due date policy. Renewals can be requested through the NEiA Library Assistant, yet are not always guaranteed.
Interlibrary loan has the ability to significantly expand the library’s collection and can be useful for both research and leisure. As a patron of the NEiA Library, please feel free to utilize this great service.
